Genshin Impact Log #16

Story progress

I started the Seirai Stormcatchers (I believe that's what it's called?) quest and while I didn't progress it much, I did start the section with the puzzles. Honestly, I just solved the first one at random even if I understood how they work because I was in a hurry, lol, but I'll try to pay attention to the next one. That being said, I know Inazuma literally means "lightning" in Japanese, but does a natural phenomenon have to happen in every single island... First Yashiori, then Tsurumi, now this one...

I also almost finished Arlecchino's story quest, and oh wow, that was a ride. I definitely wasn't expecting the two cutscenes, but I did know some of Arle's story beforehand and that the boss fight would be brutal – and the fact that I main a Pyro character right now certainly didn't make it better (Diluc), whoops. I really liked the quest, though, with the reveal behind why Arle calls herself "Father" rather than "Mother" (not outright explained, but one can only assume...) and with Lyney, Lynette and Freminet fighting for her. Arle was also very cute when she was little, honestly, though it saddens me to find out that her eyes have always been like that :(.

Exploration progress

I levelled up the Inazuman Statue of the Seven today with the Electroculi I picked up on Seirai Island, but that's about it (plus a few teleport points from that area as well).

Wishing progress

147 wishes now! Somehow, I got two today instead of the usual one. Cool!

Plans for tomorrow

Do the final bit of Arle's quest (I left it today because it's pretty late here) and perhaps start Zhongli's second mission. I want to see if Guizhong ever gets mentioned.

Today was another wild ride, and as expected, heavy rain alerts are on and my classes got cancelled. Actually, while I was playing Arle's quest a few hours ago, an emergency alert popped up on my phone making the worst noise known to mankind. I'm autistic so the sudden noise made me cry, my phone was so close to me too... Let's hope the rain isn't as severe. Please stay safe no matter where you're reading this from, guys!

Story progress

Many things today! First of all, I finished the little bit I had left of Arle's Story Quest. I also watched later on YouTube the animation for her fight against her "Mother", and wow, they really put a lot of effort into it... Second of all, since I got a key today, I unlocked Zhongli's second story quest like I said I would, but I didn't progress a lot since it didn't catch my attention.

Instead, I finished the Seirai Stormcatchers world quest! I was VERY surprised at how I pulled through the boss fight, considering one of my usual team members is Fischl, and Electro... Well, let's just say it wasn't useful at all against that boss, lol. Right after I finished I went on and started the quest at Tsurumi Island as well, and progressed it as far as the game let me (I believe it requires the passing of one day in real time, because the quest disappeared from my list temporarily but I didn't get the achievements for its clearance nor a profile picture).

Exploration progress

I got MANY Electroculi just by playing today's world quests in Inazuma. I believe I presented 9 to the Statues in one sitting, lol. That had never happened before to me. I also got all the teleport points both on Seirai Island and on Tsurumi Island. It surprised me how far up some of Seirai's TPs were...

Wishing progress

150 wishes total! Got a few more than usual today again because of the competition of quests.

Plans for tomorrow

Who knows. Hopefully finish Tsurumi Island quest if the game lets me? Other than that, I'll see later on.

As expected, today was a really atypical day... We all stayed home because of the flood risk (which was obviously true – a lot of areas around the city got flooded, though not to alarming levels), and tomorrow it'll be the same. I felt a bit unnerved because it felt weird to have so much free time, and even got a little dizzy not too long ago probably because of that, but I hope tomorrow will not feel as strange.
