You might be wondering why this post is titled "two weeks" instead of "three weeks" when the latter one is the real amount of time that has passed since I updated — I simply didn't read anything that first week I didn't update. Tragic, indeed... But I have plenty of things to update on as compensation!

I also decided to be a little more consistent on my entries, meaning properly italicizing every work name and adding the author in every case, whether it's about a novel, a manga, or anything else. My next step would be updating in time again, because I always feel like these entries come off as a bit lackluster-ish...

Blue Lock by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yuusuke Nomura (Chapters 290-292)
Again, I'm really eager for the end of the match, but I'm happy Ness finally got some focus again! I'm very curious as to what will be of him after the NEL, since he's not one of the top players like Kaiser or Lorenzo... What's more, I think the author sort of implied once that he wouldn't really appear again regularly in a fan signing, so fingers crossed?

Blue Lock: Episode Nagi by Muneyuki Kaneshiro, Yuusuke Nomura and Kouta Sannomiya (Chapter 31)
At last, the last match of the Second Selection has finished! I don't know how to feel about Nagi and Barou being motivated by Isagi's shadow instead of each other at the very end, but it also made me nostalgic for the original Team White vs Team Red match, which had all three in the same team. On the other hand, the title for the next chapter intrigues me... The "don't die before I do" line already blew up, so seeing similar wording in a chapter title makes me think Reo will FINALLY appear again... I've missed him!!

Boy Meets Maria by PEYO (Single volume)
I finally had a bit of spending money and time to hunt manga volumes in various physical stores, so I knew I needed this one, which I'd been wanting to read for a while thanks to my partner recommending it to me a while ago. Surely enough, I love it. I wasn't sure if a single volume would be able to hold a story as deep as this one, but it did! I like it when stories tackle themes that have to do with gender, so naturally my fave was Yuu Arima. The romance, while brief, was also cute! I really recommend it

Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu (Volumes 1 & 2)
And speaking of works I've been recommended... Since I caught up with my physical books backlog, I could finally start MDZS, which I'd been wanting to dive into for a while! And it didn't disappoint. I feel like sometimes it has a lot of flashbacks for my liking, but once I flip through a few pages, the plot completely hooks me again. I have to admit that I struggle a little with remembering names and forms of address, as this is the first Chinese novel I read, but I think I've finally memorized everything I needed to know, though the timeline in my mind is still a little wonky. Unsurprisingly, my fave character for now is Lan Wangji. It's always the strong silent types...

Greek Lessons by Han Kang
I was a little sick when I finished reading this, so I fear I didn't understand the end of the story as well as I wanted to, but I still enjoyed it. However, as I said, I fear I might have to re-read it, because between all that has happened this week, I can't think of anything I want to comment... Man...

How Do We Relationship? by Tamifull (Chapters 61-110)
Back to reading this! I can't say I was expecting Miwa and Tamaki to break-up, but honestly, it's better that way. I don't think the manga will end with Miwa and Saeko getting back together again (I hope it doesn't,) but I wonder what will happen with Saeko and Yuria — their communication tends to be pretty hit or miss... I'm very close to catching up!

The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn't a Guy at All by Sumiko Arai (Chapter 114)
NEW UPDATES AT LAST!! When a weekly manga goes without updates for two months, you really feel it, huh... And sadly, we'll have to wait once again to have Mitsuki and Aya reunite properly at prom. Oh well!

The Summer of You by Nagisa Furuya (Single volume)
Another single volume I'd been wanting to read that I picked up alongside Boy Meets Maria. I wasn't as enthusiastic with this one, but I liked it! Pilgrimages based on movies or any other kind of media was something I don't remember having read about to this day, so it felt fresh in that aspect. That being said, it's so sad how they ended up far apart! I think there's a sequel, but I'm not sure about checking it out, so they'll remain separated in my mind... For now.

Witch Hat Atelier by Kamome Shirahama (Chapter 84)
I thought the arc would finish with this chapter, but it seems the conflict isn't over yet as Ininia makes another appearance...

I'm almost done with all my physical manga backlog! Somehow, this post ended up having a ton of updates, even though I didn't feel like I read that much this week...

BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!! Swaying in the Rain, Looking for the Sunshine (Chapters 1-2)
With the release of the Ave Mujica anime, I found that a manga for MyGO had also been released to be read for free, officially, in English and without needing a VPN, so I started reading! Man, it might be the mental illness speaking, but I really understand Soyo, and viewing the events of the anime from her point of view really hits different... It seems to have monthly updates, so I'll try to be up to date.

Blue Lock (Chapter 289)
I feel so bad for Ness, lol, but honestly, he had it coming. This chapter was slightly more interesting than the last one, but I really want this last match to end, and taking a look at social media confirms that it's not just me who feels this way. Once again, I'm quite enjoying the dynamics between Isagi and Kaiser these past few chapters.

Greek Lessons by Han Kang
I finally started reading this book, which I've had sitting on my shelf for a few weeks! Granted, I haven't gotten too far, but so far it has really caught my attention. As someone who studies translation and who has also taken Ancient Greek in high school, language and how it's used (or rather, not used, maybe?) is always a topic of interest to me. I still don't think I'm grasping the general theme of the story as I did with The Vegetarian yet, but I'm sure I will.

How Do We Relationship? (Chapters 22-60)
This is a manga I started all the way back in summer, but only found myself picking up again this past week. I really like the realistic approach it has taken to relationships and how they might change overtime, and the uncertainty and ugly feelings that come with love definitely hit too close home at times. However, sometimes the drama goes a little too far for my liking, lol. Somehow, this realism is also what drives me away from the story — romantic and sexual love is hard to grasp 100% as someone in both aromantic and asexual spectrums, oops, and I remember how it also baffled me when Saeko and Miwa got into a relationship shortly after meeting each other. I really want to see how it plays out, though! I wonder if they'll get back together, but I'm sure that if they did it now, it would be disastrous...

The Guy She Was Interested In Wasn't a Guy At All (Re-read of Volume 2)
This time, I didn't make the same mistake I did last time of not pre-ordering the volume, and somehow, I got it one entire day before its official release! I have to say that while I like this manga a lot, sometimes the sudden scene jumps get a bit confusing, and these girls should really be communicating more often!! But the scene at the Okinawa trip when Mitsuki and Aya were listening to music was just so precious, I forgot how good of a moment that was.

Witch Hat Atelier (Chapters 77-83; reread of Volumes 12 and 13)
I've only brought it up once in this blog when I covered my excitement over the anime announcement, but I actually consider Witch Hat Atelier to be my favorite manga, even if it had been more than a year since I last caught up because I got a bit tired of the current arc. Volumes 12 and 13 were the ones I had on my physical backlog, and although they were re-reads, I didn't remember anything about the chapters, so I got super immersed in them. WHA will never cease to amaze me, I'm so serious — I love the way it handles morality and the usage and limitations of magic, whether the latter ones are imposed by law or simply out of scope of what magic can truly do. In the end, all witches can do is simply keep on drawing, no matter the circumstances! Their tenacity amazes me, and it's also a really good message for the readers. I can't wait to keep reading whenever new chapters come out
